Preparing Children for Secondary Transfer

Children with a range of Special Educational Needs including language difficulties and ASD alongside other vulnerable children, find change particularly challenging. This course aims to equip TAs/learning mentors/teachers/Senco with the skills to deliver small group work to support secondary transfer. It will provide an overview of common areas of difficulty and offer a practical programme to support transition. This course develops knowledge and understanding of a secondary transition intervention for year 6 children and is particularly useful for children who have an EHC plan. This course has a maximum of 15 participants.
