Train the Trainer: Early Years SLCN

Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) are the most common disability in young children. In some areas up to 50% of children start school with a language delay. All Early Years Practitioners need to have the skills to identify and support children with SLCN. This course provides participants with the knowledge and resources to be able to develop a basic understanding of SLCN for all staff in their setting. This session is now included in the Approved Early Years SENCo Training Courses for 2019-20. Practitioners who are not taking part in one of these training courses will need to complete in order to gain the Approved SENCo award 2020-21.
