Train the Trainer: Zones of Regulation
Zones of regulation is a systematic approach used to teach self-regulation by categorizing all the different ways we feel and states of alertness we experience into four concrete coloured zones. The Zones framework provides strategies to teach students to become more aware of and independent in controlling their emotions and impulses, manage their sensory needs, and improve their ability to problem solve conflicts.
The course will consist of presentations, demonstrations and practical activities. That can be used in school
Participants will gain:
1) An understanding of the theory behind Zones of Regulation
2) How to apply the Zones of Regulation Approach in a school environment
3) A toolkit of resources
Participants will be able to take the knowledge away and set up groups or a whole school approach based on the Zones of Regulation.
