Understanding Autism in Early Years
This one-day course will provide participants with an understanding of the key features of Autism and the diagnostic pathway in Haringey. Participants will learn how to use the evidence based National Autistic Society’s SPELL framework to provide an Early Years Environment which enables young children with Autism or Social Communication Difficulties to thrive.
There will be opportunities throughout the session for participants to share good practice and brainstorm around challenges that they are experiencing within their setting. This course is part of our recommended training for settings claiming Early Years Inclusion Funding. It forms part of our two-day training offer for supporting children with Autism in the Early Years. It can be booked on its own or in conjunction with Autism Interventions in the Early Years.
