Early Talk Boost – An Intervention For Nursery And Reception Children With Language Delay - 16 November 2021 9.30 - 3.30 pm

Early Talk Boost is a targeted and evidenced intervention aimed at 3-4 year old children with delayed language, helping to boost their language skills to narrow the gap between them and their peers.
This course will provide an opportunity for participants to become familiar with, explore and use the Early Talk Boost materials.
You need to purchase these resources to bring on the day unless your school or setting already has them. The cost is £500. Please email karen.costelloe@haringey.gov.uk for an order form.

Supporting the emotional well-being in the Early Years - 2 March 2022 - 10.00 - 11.30 am

The “supporting emotional well-being” session will be a 90 minute session. It will equip staff with the knowledge and skills relating to the application of attachment theory in early years so they become effective emotional well being practitioners. They will be introduced to useful resources which they can use in settings to promote well being.

It will also help staff to develop their skills and knowledge in the following:

– How to create a ‘safe base’ for every child to thrive and learn
– Improve social skills and building relationship
– Helping children build self-awareness, independence, confidence and resilience
– Supporting children to understand, manage and communicate their feelings
– To advocate for children and together with carers and others, plan and support children’s progress in emotional and social wellbeing

This is a taster session to a two to three day course for any early years staff wishing to become early years emotional well-being practitioners in Haringey.
